A few Handmade Gifts Your Boyfriend or Husband Will Love

A few Handmade Gifts Your Boyfriend or Husband Will Love

Here are three best do-it-yourself handmade gifts for boyfriends or husbands. These gifts are inexpensive, easy to make, and will create unforgettable moments in your relationship.

Date Jar

How many times have you and your husband or boyfriend been trying to figure out where to go on a date, only ending up disagreeing with each other for an hour or so before leaving the house? Well, you could have saved that hour if only you left the choice up to chance!

Date Jars are ideal handmade gifts for husbands, but they’re gifts for you as well. What you want to do is find yourself a mason jar, you know, one of the glass ones your grandaddy used to drink soda or beer out of. You can get them cheap at most small department stores.

While you’re in the store, pick up some wooden popsicle sticks. Then, get with your boyfriend and simply brainstorm every fun date idea that you can think of, write one on each stick, and keep going til the jar is full.

Remember to think outside the box. Don’t restrict yourselves to restaurants and movies, but think of hiking trails, swimming trips, camping, and double dates–the possibilities are endless! Now, the next time you need to decide, one of you simply pulls from the jar with your eyes closed, and that’s where you go!

Spontaneous Care Package

There’s nothing like knowing that your loved one is thinking about you, especially when you’ve had a stressful day or week. Care packages make wonderful handmade gifts for boyfriends.

If you are dating someone in the military, for example, putting together a package with all of their favorite snacks and goodies in it is a fantastic surprise that’ll lift their spirits. The trick with this gift is to make sure that you cater it to the person. For example, if chocolate makes them feel good, then get an assortment of different kinds such as:

  • Snickers
  • Twix
  • Almond Joy
  • Milky way
  • M&Ms

Some people may think of a care package as something that you send someone when they’re in the hospital. But if your husband or boyfriend is “sick” of his job, a nice care package can change his attitude in an instant.

But remember, you want it to be a surprise. So, it would be ideal if you could coordinate with some of the people on the job who work with him closely. With their help, you could get him away from his desk long enough to sneak it in while he’s not looking.

Travel Pic Map

If you are a couple who likes to travel, then this is one of the most delightful gifts that both of you will be able to enjoy for months or even years to come. It’s called a travel picture map, and it truly is what it sounds like!

The actual size of this gift depends completely on you and just how much the two of you love to travel. Some people get a map that is small enough to fit inside of a drawer, while other couples will get one that they can put on a wall and display, like a huge poster.

What you do is take regular snap photos of the best times that you had in different places. For example, let’s say you went to Florida last year to Universal Studios with your kids and had a wonderful time snapping pictures with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and all the characters. Take the picture that you both like the best and pin it to the state of Florida on the map.

Part of the reason that people sometimes get a huge map is that they will revisit a state several times a year and have to keep pinning additional pictures to the map in that area of the country. If you and your significant other travel to places overseas frequently, then you would want to get a world map.

We’re sure your husband or boyfriend will appreciate these loving gestures. These are just a few handmade gifts for boyfriends that you can do that will show a lot of love without spending much. Remember that it’s more about the effort you put into the gift than the cost. Happy crafting!
